Authorities seized some of Lil Wayne’s $30million worth of art from inside his Miami Beach mansion late Tuesday afternoon to satisfy a judgement stating he owes $2million to a private jet company.
Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s deputies were seen in footage during the raid as they executed a judge’s order at the rapper’s $11million waterfront home, which is currently for sale, around 3pm.
Authorities removed some of his expensive art pieces and several plaques from the mansion after Wayne did not pay the judgment to private jet company Signature Group, TMZ reported.
Sources told TMZ that the sheriff’s deputies, who had a break order allowing them to storm the home, had a person with them who valued the assets inside so that they could decide which items to seize.
The private jet company, which owns Lil Wayne’s Gulfstream II, had sued the 33-year-old rapper after he stopped paying his $55,000-a-month lease, Sky 10 reported.
