Popcaan lands role in Netflix Film, “The Intent 2”

Jamaican entertainer, Popcaan has been making big moves already in 2018 as the ‘Unruly’ deejay lands a role in the Netflix movie, “The Intent 2”.

Part one of the British crime drama film, “The Intent” was premiered back in July of 2016. It featured the likes of Scorcher, Krept & Konan, Femi Oyeniran, Dylan Duffus and Ashley Chin, with many of those stars expected return for The Intent 2.

The “The Intent” was about an undercover police officer who found his loyalties tested as the gang he had grown attached to became increasingly violent. The movie did well for the streaming company, and as such a part two is in the making, which is set to be released later this year.

Popcaan, whose real name is Andre Sutherland, was awarded a major role in the new film alongside Jamaican actor, Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin. The movie is being directed by Femi Oyeniran and Nicky Slimting Walker.
