With her debut album Gifted set for release this Friday, Jamaican sensation Koffee has given us plenty of reasons to get excited with the singles such as “Pull Up,” “Lockdown,” and “West Indies,” and now she has added another to the mix with “Shine.”

An acoustic guitar-driven song with some chart-friendly 808s from producer Jae5, “Shine” is a hopeful and urgent plea for peace. Listen below:

Gifted also features other new sounds such as opener X10, which samples Bob Marley’s classic Redemption Song (1980).   Late last year, Koffee had shared that it was her dream to remix one of the late Reggae legend’s songs, in the same vein as Lauryn Hill’s Grammy Award-winning Turn Your Lights Down Low remix.
